INCREASE THE PEACE WEEK

February 3-8, 2003

ASPIRA of Florida, Inc. celebrated its Increase the Peace Week "Be Great, Re-Ignite The Dream" from February 3-8 2003. This year's event included students of ASPIRA's Eugenio Maria De Hostos Charter School, and the YLD/Outreach Division of Miami and the Beaches. Through the leadership of Fernando Colon, Miami Director, and his staff: David Ramos, Jr. Mary A. Darling, Aura Muniz, Angelo Rivera, Beatriz Quinones,

 

ASPIRA MIAMI BEACH HIGH SCHOOL CLUB

The ASPIRA M.B.S.H. Club sponsored a student assembly with over 500 participants, joined by ASPIRA Past Chair Teresa Albizu-Rodriguez (center), Aspirantes and staff.

 

 

Maggie Loly Pascual, Travis Kelly, Julio A. Ventura-Jorge, Deserie Hart, Isbel Monto, and Barbara Y. Martinez, ASPIRA culuminated the week long activities at the Pitirre Plaza for a youth rally and city proclamation (see below). The themes continue to advocate community conscious leadership against violence, gangs, drugs and the crime prevention crime awareness.
